Evapcold says its LCR-C-A low-charge ammonia refrigeration chiller is now available with air-cooled and adiabatic condenser technology. The chiller provides a chilled secondary fluid to serve many diverse applications and includes over 100 pre-engineered industrial design models. Typical ammonia charges range from 2.5 pounds/tons of refrigeration (TR) to 5.5 pounds/TR and can serve cooling loads from 40 to 250 TR, with fluid temperatures ranging from 5 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. The chillers require zero water usage with air-cooled technology or minimal water usage with alternate adiabatic technology. They are environmentally friendly with zero ozone depletion potential and zero global warming potential.
