PANEL OF SPEAKERS

Mikael Jakobsson, President, Asia Pacific Urban Energy Association (APUEA)

Mr Jakobsson has 20 years of experience in integrated Urban Energy systems and District Energy, with expertise in energy planning, project development, and system optimization. Mr. Jakobsson has specialist knowledge in District Energy design optimization and operation optimization through seamless thermal, hydraulic steady-state and transient-state analysis. Mr. Jakobsson started his career responsible for developing the Stockholm integrated Urban Energy system, and in the past 10 years Mr. Jakobsson has developed and executed some 70 Urban Energy projects in Asia; now led by the Swedish originated consulting company NXITY. Mr. Jakobsson has international experience from Europe, Middle East, Central Asia and Asia Pacific.

Dr. Luong Quang Huy, Head of Division for GhG Emission Reduction and Ozone Layer Protection, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment

 Dr Luong Quang Huy is an official of the Department of Climate Change, Vietnam Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment for the past 15 years. He plays a key role in developing recent Vietnamese national policies on climate change in general and carbon pricing. His work is to ensure Vietnam achieves its NDC’s target and most recently, towards the net zero goal in 2050. One of the solutions is to realise the use of carbon pricing instruments in Vietnam’s NDC implementation.

Quan Ton, Country Manager, Keppel DHCS

Mr. Quan Ton holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering from Oxford Brookes University in the UK and has 14 years of experience in management, business development, sales and marketing. Mr. Quan is strongly passionate about sustainable growth and how to improve our planet to provide our next generations with a better environment to live in. Since 2012, Mr. Quan has been focused on HVAC, Technology, Services and Building Digital Transformation segments related to Sustainability Development and he remains dedicated to green solutions.

2020 – Jan 2021: Country Head of Johnson Control International.

2012 -2019: Branch Head of Daikin Airconditioning.

2011 – 2012: VP Business Development of Infor Tech Alliance.

2008-2010: Branch Manager of Securemetric Technology.

Adrian Lim Hock Heng, General Manager, KJ Engineering Services Sdn Bhd

Adrian is the General Manager of KJ Engineering Sdn Bhd, a
wholly owned subsidiary of KJ Technical Services Sdn Bhd. He
brings along with him 20 years of engineering work experience, 15 years of which are under the KJ Group of Companies. He has led and successfully completed a variety of greenfield and brownfield projects including that of district cooling plants in Malaysia and abroad. He is currently heading the company’s initiative into becoming Malaysia’s leader in Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation System (ACMV).
Adrian received his Bachelors of Engineering (Hons) in Electronics Engineering from the University of Sheffield, United
Kingdom. He is also a member of The Institution of Engineers
Malaysia (IEM).
